Moderate earthquake rattles Northern Sumatra
New Delhi, May 24 (UNI) A moderate earthquake, measuring 5.1 on the Richter scale, jolted Northern Sumatra, Indonesia, well past midnight.
The tremor, which occurred at 0149 hrs off the west coast of Northern Sumatra, was epicentred at 02.4 degrees North latitude and 95.9 degrees East longitude, the Indian Meteorological Department said.
There were no reports of injuries or damage.
