Bangalore, May 24 (UNI) A group of 34 students belonging to various towns in Mizoram visited Madras Engineer Group and Centre in the city today as part of their National Integration tour to South India organised by Assam Rifles.

Aged between 14 to 22 years, the youngsters met Col Gurdip Singh, Officiating Commandant of MEG and Centre and later went on a tour of the sprawling centre. They tried their hand at shooting and horse riding and visited the museum where they were briefed about the history and legacy of the 150 year old establishment of the Indian Army.

The National Integration Tour provides an opportunity to these young boys and girls of various border areas to see the development strides India has made and allow them to share their customs and traditions with their counterparts in other parts of the country, a defence press release said here today.
