Low intensity explosion causes panic in Haryana village

Sonipat, May 24 (UNI) A low intensity explosion outside the residence of a farmer led to panic in Rathdhana village of the district early today.

SP K K Rao said a crude explosive device placed in a steel 'dholche' (milk container) was placed outside the house of the farmer.

Ruling out any terrorist hand in the explosion, he said it appeared that someone who had some dispute with the farmer may have placed the device outside the house. There was no casualty but splinters hit the gate of the house, he added.

A forensic team of the state police from Madhubhan reached the site and collected samples. Mr Rao said that after the forensic report the police would be in a position to determine the nature of the explosion.

the police has registered a case and have begun investigations.
