Kohima Police seize weapon, arrest two

Kohima, May 24: Kohima police at the Khuzama check-gate have recovered one AK-47 Assault Rifle from a night bus and arrested two persons in this connection last night.

The Khuzama check-gate happens to be the entry point into Nagaland from Manipur.

Official sources here today said the recovery was made during a a routine check-up of night super bus coming from Manipur.

One person was immediately arrested. During interrogation of the arrested person, police retrieved information about the whereabouts about another person in this connection and later arrested him.

Both persons were from Manipur.

Further investigation was on, sources said.
