Head Constable killed in Police jeep accident
Nadiad, May 24 (UNI) A head constable was killed on the spot and three others including a woman sustained injuries when a police patrolling jeep dashed against a road side tree in Moti Adboli village on the Mehmadabad-Ghodasa Road just after midnight.
Police sources said that the accident occured when the driver of the police jeep lost control of the vehicle first hit a Mango Tree and then entered a road side house in which a woman sleeping in front of the house was also injured.
Head Constable Badarsinh Babarbhai was killed on the spot while a Constable, driver of the jeep and the woman were admitted to a local hospital.
Mahemadabad police have registered a case under section IPC 279, 337 and 304 and Bombay Vehicle Act 177 and 184 against the jeep driver and furthur investigation is in process.
