Kochi, May 24 (UNI) Kerala High Court today declined to stay the demolition process in Munnar.

Justice S Siri Jagan, hearing the petition, also declined to stay the eviction notice issued to Winter Castle and Mist Valley Resort at Munnar.

However, the court, hearing a petition by Archana Silks seeking a stay on demolition of its building at Kothamangalam, directed the authorities concerned to measure the building before proceeding with the demolition.

On another petition by Azad Timbers at Kallayi, the court stayed the eviction notice issued to them.

The court also granted ten days time to Varkey's Super Market at Ernakulam to remove the articles and commodities on its own before the district authorities started the demolition.

In their petition, the Varkeys management contended that they were running their business in a leased building.
