Hand grenade found in Farukhabad
Farukhabad, May 24 (UNI) A hand grenade was recovered from the railway station here today, less than two days after serial blasts rocked Gorakhpur and a huge amount of explosives was recovered from the Faizabad railway station.
Superintendent of Police L B Antini Devkumari told UNI, a security cover was provided in many railway stations after the serial blasts and the recovery of explosives.
During a search operation, railway police noticed an unclaimed bag and informed the police.
The police later discovered the high-intensity hand grenade, mostly used by PAC or Army, in the bag.
Bomb detectors were called to defuse the bomb.
