Girl tortured, BJP demands murder case

Hyderabad, May 24 (UNI) A fact finding committee of the BJP, headed by the National Safai Commission former member Mr Chinta Samba Murty today demanded that those who tortured a 12-year-old servant girl Ramana for three days in Kukatpalli recently be booked for attempt for murder.

In a statement here, Samba Murty said, after a visit to the scene of offence the committee found that Praveen, Prashant and Lakshmi Narasamma who employed Ramana had tortured her for three days and even tried to kill her by strangulation. But the police took no cognisance of the offence.

The Commission, apart from booking of cases for attempt to murder, demanded financial help, vocational training and education through bridge course to the girl.
