Fishermen rescue Seven people
Mangalore, May 23 (UNI) Seven members of a group of 25 members of a family, including several women and children, who were caught by huge wave in Arabian Sea were rescued by local fishermen at Ullal beach on the outskirt of the city here today.
According to police, the members from Karnool in Andhra Pradesh, after offering prayers at the famous Dargah, went to the beach and while taking group photograph a huge wave hit them and they were dragged into the sea.
However, some fishermen who were fishing, immediately jumped into the sea and rescued seven members, while others swam to safety.
Police said that among the two people rescued- a woman and a 11 year old female child, had swallowed sand, were immediately admitted to a local hospital and their condition was stated to be out of danger.
