Deaf and dumb minor girl raped

Yamunanagar, May 24 (UNI) A deaf and dumb minor girl was raped by two youths of her own locality in Yamunanagar district of Haryana, police said today.

The two accused, identified as Rashid and Shaukin, took the 12-year-old girl of Hamida colony along with them to the nearby Gulabgarh village and raped her yesterday.

Police said the girl was alone at her home when the two accused lured her away on some pretext. When her family members came home, they found the girl missing.

Her search led to the police to Gulabgarh where Shaukin was arrested while Rashid fled the scene. Police had registered the case against the duo and launched a manhunt for Rashid.
