Clash over youth's death

Balrampur, May 24 (UNI) Irked over the death of a youth last night in Utraula town, people of two communities clashed here today.

Pavan Kumar (22) of Gandhi Nagar colony was murdered by some assailants. In a protest people of his community attacked the house of an accused and set ablaze a car, police said.

A few days ago, Pavan had complained to police about threat to his life but they did nothing to protect him. And following the incident Station House Officer R P Singh was suspended with immediate effect.

Meanwhile, no untoward incident was reported and a large number of police personnel and PAC have been deployed in the area to avoid any fresh violence.
