AP: California Governor lauds CM Y S Rajasekhar

Hyderabad, May 24: California Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger today lauded Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Y S Rajasekhar Reddy for his Government's initiative in various fields, ranging from Agriculture to Entertainment in the last three years.

In a letter addressed to Dr Reddy, Mr Schwarzenegger thanked him for sparing his time to meet him in California during his US visit. The Governor also expressed gratitude on behalf of the people of California for sharing the most innovative ideas and views during their meet.

He said Dr Reddy had shown the right direction in ''strengthening our Trade, Tourism and Research. From Agriculture to entertainment to high-tech, it is clear that Andhra Pradesh and California are both looking to the future in the areas that will define our future prosperity and quality of life.'' The Governor said in an increasingly interconnected world economy, trade partnerships between the two regions will largely determine the ability to remain entrepreneurial and economically competitive.

He said that he was looking forward to working with Dr Reddy to expand the ties between the two countries.
