Braille Printing Press installed
Chandigarh, May 24 (UNI) A Braille Printing Press, installed at the Institute for Blind here, is expected to enhance its standard of education of the blind.
Chandigarh Home Secretary Krishna Mohan inaugurated the printing press here yesterday. He also launched a website of the institute.
The blind students of the institute would be provided textbooks in Braille script in all subjects and in all languages right from primary class to 12th class.
There will be no shortage of copies of books in Braille which is the main mode of learning for the blind students. The press was imported from Sweden at the cost of Rs 14 lakh.
