Young man commits suicide

Akola, May 23 (UNI) A 38-year-old man, married a month ago, committed suicide by consuming poison at village Sukli in the district over alleged harassment by his wife.

Gulab Ghogare committed suicide by drinking poison on May 14.

In a complaint, Sheshrao Ghogare, the deceased's father, stated that his son took the extreme step frustrated over the ill treatment given to him by his wife Sindhu.

Incidentally, the couple was married a month ago, family sources said.

An offence has been registered against Sindhu under section 306 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) for abetting suicide, police said, adding that no arrest has been made so far.
