Hubli, May 23 (UNI) Karnataka State Women's Commission will commence its inquiry into the alleged sex scandal involving BJP Legislator Renukacharya and Nurse Jayalaxmi from June 4, Commission Chairperson Pramila Nesargi said today.

Talking to newsmen here, she said if the complainant was not satisfied with the verdict of the Commission, he or she could approach the National Women's Commission.

But the complaint lodged with the State Women's Commission could not be withdrawn, she said.

When her attention was drawn to the release of photographs by Ms Jayalaxmi, Ms Nesargi said it might be due to mental illness.

To another question, she expressed concern over girls being sold in and around Hubli-Dharwad and alleged that the police were nabbing only petty culprits instead of the main accused.
