Women Commission to begin inquiry on June four
Hubli, May 23 (UNI) Karnataka State Women Commission will commence its inquiry into the alleged sex scandal involving BJP Legislator Renukacharya and Nurse Jayalaxmi from June Four, Commission Chairperson Pramila Nesargi said today.
Talking to newsmen here, she said if the complaint was not satisfied with the verdict of the Commission then he or she can approach National Women Commission. But complaint lodged with State Women Commission could not be withdrawn.
When her attention was drawn to the release of photographs by Ms Jayalaxmi, Ms Nesargi expressed that it might be the mental illness and she was not upset over the allegations made by Jayalaxmi.
To another question, she expressed concern over girls sale in and around Hubli-Dharwad and said that police were nabbing only small culprits instead of the main accused. They should initiate serious action to burst the rackets of such crimes.
