Wall collapse leaves at least 27 dead in TN bar

Tirupur, Tamil Nadu, May 23 (UNI) At least 27 people were killed and five seriously injured when a wall came collapsing on a TASMAC Bar near here tonight.

Police said the mishap occurred when the wall of an adjoining hosiery unit came crashing down on the tin-roof bar at Anarpalayam Pudur due to heavy rainfall.

Many of the victims had taken shelter in the bar due to the heavy rainfall.

The injured were rushed to the Coimbatore Medical College Hospital for treatment.
