Three Tibetan youths arrested under Foreigners Act
Dharamshala, May 23 (UNI) The Himachal Pradesh Police have arrested three Tibetan youths here under the Foreigners Act after they produced false documents for acquiring a registration certificate from the police.
Kangra SP AK Yadav today told UNI that a Tibetan, identified as Taney, 27, was arrested yesterday morning following his questioning after he visited his office to get a Registration Certificate, essential for all Tibetans residing here.
Two more Tibetans, identified as Pema Tashi, 24, and Dorjay Testan, 24, were arrested late last evening for submitting false documents for getting registered here, he said.
All three were arrested under Foreigners Act besides under Sections 467,468 and 471 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC), Mr Yadav said.
While Taney was later produced in a local court, which remanded him to police custody up till May 24, Pema Tashi and Dorjay Testan were produced before the court today.
