State-level tourism day tomorrow
Bhopal, May 23 (UNI) For the first time in the country, state-level tourism day is being organised by the Madhya Pradesh State Tourism Development Corporation (MPSTDC) on its establishment day here tomorrow.
MPSTDC Chairman Dhurvnarayan Singh told reporters here today that Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan will inaugurate the programme.
Indian Association of Tour Operators Subhash Goyal would be the main speaker on the occasion.
The MPSTDC headquarters in Bhopal will also receive 'ISO 9001 2000' certificate for better quality. Prominent hotel businessmen and travel agents would be felicitated on the occasion.
He said the 'Mobile Phone Audio Guide' being launched with the cooperation of private telephone company 'Airtel' would also be inaugurated by Mr Chouhan tomorrow.
The facility would enable a tourist to obtain information about a monument by dialing a special 'Airtel' number. At present, information about monuments located in the state capital would be disseminated.
The MPSTDC Chairman claimed that the service was one of the first of its kind.
