Speeding truck mows down traffic cop

Jamnagar, May 23 (UNI) A traffic cop was killed when he was hit by a speeding truck on the Jamnagar-Dwaraka highway.

ASI Jaiveersinh Gajubhai Zala was hit by a truck yesterday when he was controlling traffic during Governor Nawal Kishore Sharma's visit to Jamnagar Chamber of Commerce and Industry, police sources said here today.

Zala sustained severe internal injuries and was admitted to a nearby hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.

The truck driver Jagmal Kudubhi Koli has been arrested, sources added.
