Smugglers held at Indo-Nepal border with heroin
Siliguri, May 23 ((UNI) Two drug peddlers were arrested today from Indo-Nepal border area by Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB).
SSB sources said they were attempting to cross over Nepal with heroin and fake Indian currencies.
The SSB after primary interrogation handed them over to West Bengal Police.
SSB sources said the heroin was worth Rs 35 lakh in the market.
Acting on a tip-off the SSB officials caught them red-handed from teh border area.
In the past few days the para-military force, which was deployed to guard the Indo-Nepal border areas, got two successes.
On May 18, they had seized a huge quantity of sandalwood.
