Security arrangements at Mecca Masjid

Hyderabad, May 23 (UNI) City Police have made adequate security arrangements at Mecca Masjid and other mosques to enable general public to offer prayers peacefully.

In consultation with the Masjid Committee, sufficient numbers of video cameras have been installed at Mecca Masjid and other important mosques for surveillance.

Police said door frame, metal and hand held detectors were deployed for anti-sabotage checks at these places.

The police also appealed to the public to cooperate with them by not carrying handbags or any other items while coming to offer prayers to enable them complete the screening process quickly, a police press release here today said.
