Reliance slashes calling rates to Gulf by 36 per cent

Mumbai, May 23 (UNI) Intensifying price war on international call rates, Reliance communications (RCOM) today slashed the call rates to Gulf by 36 per cent.

Personal Business President S P Shukla said, ''We are glad to have yet again taken the lead in offering the best value proposition for Reliance customers who can now make calls to all Gulf countries at just Rs 6.99 per minute''.

The drop in calling rates in Gulf comes soon after the RCOM dropped international calling rates to US and Canada to Rs 1.99.

On Tuesday, the telecom major slashed the domestic roaming rates by 70 per cent on certain plans.
