Lebanon says at least 50 militants die in clashes

BEIRUT, May 23 (Reuters) At least 50 fighters from militant group Fatah al-Islam were killed this week in fighting with the Lebanese army, an official source at the Defence Ministry told Reuters today.

The source said between 50 and 60 fighters were killed in the clashes in northern Lebanon.
