Heat wave unabated

Vijayawada, May 23 (UNI) Heat wave conditions continued for the 14th day in Vijayawada city with the city recording a maximum temperature of 45 deg celsius.

A MET official told UNI here that the temperature was likely to rise tomorrow following, ''Rohini Karti'', the period of intense heat as per traditional Telugu almanac.

The minimum temperature recorded was 28.4 deg c.

However, there was some relief as weather suddenly turned cloudy with cool breeze blowing.

A reort from Eluru said the maximum temperatue dropped slightly to 44.5 deg C against 46 deg C recorded yesterday.

The minimum temperature recorded was 30 Deg C today, the report said.
