Congress leader murdered

Hyderabad, May 23 (UNI) A Congress leader of the Ranga Reddy district, M Jagadeswara Reddy, was today murdered in the city.

According to police, some scooter-borne miscreants stopped Reddy's car, stabbed him and fled. Reddy died on his way to hospital. His driver escaped unhurt.

Reddy, a real estate businessman, is a supporter of R Damodara Reddy, who was recently inducted into the state Cabinet as the Minister for Sports.

Soon after hearing the incident, the Minister went to the hospital and consoled the family members of the deceased.

Police said they were investigating the case.
