Cong yet to finalise stand on Presidential candidate

New Delhi, May 23(UNI) With the impending election for the President's post, the Congress is yet to finalilse its stand on the UPA candidate for the election.

Congress spokesperson Jayanti Natrajan, when asked about the Congress strategy for the Presidential election, pleaded ignorance about any development in this regard, saying "I am not aware of the process of consultations going on, if any." "We are not authorised to comment on it,"she told reporters when they persisted with the questions on the Congress choice for the Presidential candidate.

The Congress Spokesperson also placed on record the party's appreciation for the successful running of the Congress-led UPA coalition Government and congratualted the Prime Minister, his Cabinet colleaguesm and the UPA allies.
