China's Wu rejects US sanction talk over trade rows
WASHINGTON, May 23 (Reuters) ''Complicated'' US-China economic ties require direct dialogue rather than sanctions and threats, Chinese Vice Premier Wu Yi said today after talks on contentious bilateral economic issues.
''China-US economic and trade releationship is one of the most complicated in today's world,'' Wu said after China and the United States wrapped up a two-day ''strategic economic dialogue'' on bilateral trade and financial issues in Washington.
''It calls for direct consutaltion and dialogue between us, instead of easy resort to threat or sanctions,'' she said.
