BSEB engineer, clerk sent to jail for accepting bribe

Patna, May 23 (UNI) Special vigilance judge of Patna S K Panwar today remanded a Bihar State Electricity Board assistant engineer and a clerk to judicial custody in a bribery case.

The accused duo-Purushottam Mishra and Harshbardhan Upadhayay were produced before the judge when he sent them to judicial custody till June five.

According to the charges, both were arrested by vigilance sleuths yesterday while accepting a bribe of Rs 1.28 lakh from one promoter for providing electric connections to a multi-storied building here.
