Bombs found in F'bad Rly station; UP on high alert

Faizabad, May 23: Police recovered a huge quantity of explosives from the Faizabadrailway station early today, hours after serial blasts roockedGorakhpur.

Ten kg of explosives and 20 litres of ammonium nitrate wererecovered by the Railway police from the second class waiting room onplatform No 1 at around 0155 hrs, Police Superintendent (City) K KAsthana informed.

The bomb disposal squad later rushed to the site.

Meanwhile, security agencies have been sent from the state capitalto Faizabad to ascertain the nature of the explosives and probe thecase.

The police was investigating if there was a link between theexplosives haul and last evening's Gorakhpur blasts in a crowdedshopping area which left five persons injured.

Security at the Ram Janmabhoomi and other important sites here have been further tightened.
