Australian High Commissioner visits Nagaland

Kohima, May 23: Australian High Commissioner to India John McCarthy had been to Dimapur on a visit.

He was yesterday accompanied by Murray Harris, the first Secretary (Political) and Head Public Affairs Pradeep and Country Manager AusAids, New Delhi, Puskar Singh, official sources said here today.

Official sources added that the Australian delegates visited Bethesda Drop-In-Centre, New Field Check Gate and had an interactive session with the Peer Trainers and Members of the Self-Help Groups (SHG).

During their brief visit, they have also visited Guardian Angels and Prodigal's Home. McCarthy also inaugurated the Gift Centre, initiated by the Bethesda Youth Welfare Centre promoting products of SHGs.
