Shootout between bandit gangs in MP

Satna, MP, May 22 (UNI) Dacoit Pappu Yadav is suspected to have been killed in a roughly two-hour-long shootout between his gang and that of bandit Thokiya, both of which are active along the Uttar Pradesh-Madhya Pradesh border.

''The shootout took place in this district's Khatwariya forest on Saturday,'' said police spokesman J S Yadav.

A comprehensive search failed to yield the body. Superintendent of Police Kamal Singh Rathor and other officers rushed to the spot.
