Sayaji Hotels to spend Rs 200 crore on expansion

Indore, May 22(UNI) Sayaji Hotels Ltd will spend Rs 200 crore for its expansion plan of constructing a chain of 20 restaurants in different cities and a 247-room hotel in Pune in next few years.

The company is also planning to come up with a 5 star hotel in Indore.

Talking to reporters after launching ''Grande Seventh'' on the seventh floor of its hotel here today, company Managing Director Sajid Dhanani said 247 room hotel at Pune, scheduled to be completed next year, would be the group's third hotel after one each at Indore and Vadodara.

Under its chain of Barbaque Nation, he said, two restaurants, one each at Mumbai and Bangalore, had started functioning, while such restaurants would soon come up at Hyderabad, Bangalore and Delhi. Twenty restaurants will be opened this year, he added.

Mr Dhanani said ''We have a plan to open one 5 star hotel at Indore and budget hotels at different places'', Mr Dhanani said.

Sayaji Hotel, after launch of Grande Seventh, added one 1000 square feet Presidential Suite, 5 suits and 11 executive accommodations totalling its room capacity to 211.
