Salaries of Village Secretaries doubled
Hyderabad, May 22 (UNI) The Andhra Pradesh Government today decided to hike the salaries of Village Secretaries, who have been asking for a hike in their salaries for the last several years.
Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Y S Rajasekhara Reddy, who reviewed the situation of the petty employees with Panchayatraj Minister J C Diwakar Reddy and other officials, hiked their salaries from the present Rs 2,000 to Rs 4,900.
Similarly, as demanded by the Panchayat Raj employees, Dr Reddy had ordered that they be allowed to draw their salaries from treasuries.
