Chandigarh, May 22 (UNI) The Dakshin Haryana Bijli Vitran Nigam (DHBVN) has formulated a plan of Rs 90 crore to strengthen power transmission system in Sirsa district.

The Haryana Vidyut Prasaran Nigam (HVPN) is considering the plan for approval after agreeing to it in principle, a DHBVN spokesman said today.

He said that under this ambitious transmission plan, the HVPN would construct a 220 KV substation at village Chormar and a 132 KV substation at village Panjuwana.

He said with the construction of 220 KV substation at Chormar, the entire Sirsa would get benefit of improved voltage and regular power supply as besides feeding a large area, it would reduce load from other substations of 220 KV and 132 KV levels.

The spokesman said the power utilities had an ambitious comprehensive plan of Rs 315 crore to strengthen power transmission and distribution system in district Sirsa.

Under this plan, the utilities, besides Chormar and Panjuwana, would construct 17 substations of 33 KV level of which 11 have already been approved and six others are likely to be approved by DHBVN soon.
