Raichur records highest maximum temperature of 42.5 deg. celsius

Bangalore, May 22 (UNI) Following is a summary of observations recorded by the weather office at 0830 hours today.

Rainfall occurred at isolated places over Coastal Karnataka and South Interior Karnataka.

Dry weather prevailed over North Interior Karnataka.

Chief rainfall amounts (cm): Kundapur 1.

Maximum temperatures changed little over the State. They were above normal at most places being appreciably so at many places over Coastal Karnataka; above normal at many places being appreciably so at a few places over South Interior Karnataka and were above normal at many places over North Interior Karnataka.

Raichur recorded highest maximum temperature of 42.5 degree celsius over the State.

Forecast valid until Thursday morning: Rain/thundershowers likely to occur at isolated places over Coastal Karnataka and South Interior Karnataka and mainly dry weather may prevail over North Interior Karnataka.
