Putin,Sarkozy vow to conduct intensified political dialogue: Kremlin
Moscow, May 22 (UNI) Russian President Vladimir Putin today vowed to conduct intensified Russian-French dialogue in his first telephonic conversation with his newly-elected French counterpart Nicolas Sarkozy.
''The Russian President once again, now in a personal conversation, congratulated Mr Sarkozy on his election and resumption of office,'' the Kremlin press service said in a statement today.
''Both sides expressed an intention to uphold highly intensified and dynamic Russian-French political dialogue and cooperation in the trade and economic area,'' the statement said, adding that the two presidents discussed issues related to preparing meetings at various levels for the near future.
