More than Rs 8 lakh stolen

Panna, MP, May 22 (UNI) Unidentified thieves have stolen more than Rs eight lakh from the house of a farmer at Kakrehati village, about 25 km from this district headquarters, police said today.

Ved Prakash Pandey had sold his one acre land for Rs 8.70 lakh recently and had kept the amount in a sack in a wooden almirah.

The thieves broke into the house after breaking the lock of the backdoor and stole the sack.
