Malaysian rescuer discovers victims are his family

KUALA LUMPUR, May 22 (Reuters) A Malaysian pedestrian rushed to the rescue of a family trapped inside a crashed and burning car -- only to find that they were his wife and children.

Ishak Sejet had left his office at a palm-oil mill south of Kuala Lumpur to get some lunch when he saw the burning and barely recognisable car on the road outside the mill, the New Straits Times said today. A bus and a car had crashed into it.

''I was shocked when I realised my family was inside,'' he told the paper. With the help of other passers-by, he saved his wife and baby son but his 9-year-old daughter died in the blaze.
