Finance Commission to be in opertion soon in J

Jammu, May 22 (UNI) A Finance Commission will soon by made functional to ensure equitable development of Jammu and Kashmir, Chief Minister Ghulam Nabi Azad announced today.

Addressing block, tehsil and district-level officers of Udhampur and Reasi districts, the Chief Minister said the Centre had allocated huge funds to the state to accelerate the development process, adding that ''only pro-active, transparent and prompt administrative machinery is required to deliver on ground.'' ''I have initiated a campaign to interact with officers at all levels to sensitise them in respect of their responsibilities,'' the Chief Ministrer said and added that functionaries have to gear up to bring about a positive socio-economic change.
