Dawood's sister moves application for anticipatory bail

Mumbai, May 22 (UNI) Haseena Parkar, the youngest sister of mafia fugutive Dawood Ibrahim Kaskar, moved an anticipatory bail application before a local court today.

Parkar, wanted in a case of extortion and forgery, has sought anticipatory bail and the application is expected to come up for hearing before a Sessions Court, Shyam Keswani, Parkar's lawyer, said.

On May 10, a local court had issued a non-bailable warrant against Parkar and other persons for their alleged involvement in a case of extortion, cheating and forgery.

Parkar has since been absconding.

The Anti-Extortion Cell (AEC) of the city police had obtained NBWs against Parkar, her bodyguard Mohammed Shamim Khan, her driver Salim Ahmed Sayyed and builders Arshad Shafi Shaikh and Maqsud Fakir Mohammed Ansari.
