Dalwai demands implementation of Sachar committee report

Mumbai, May 22 (UNI) Maharashtra Congress spokesperson Hussain Dalwai today sought early implemention of the Sachar Committee Report.

Mr Dalwai, who is also president of Maulana Azad Vichar Manch, told mediapersons today that they had met Chief Minister Vilasrao Deshmukh, UPA Chairperson Sonia Gandhi and Prime Minister Manmohan Singh to seek expediting implementation of the Sachar Committee report.

The Manch had earlier urged for undertaking development of weaker sections of the society, including Muslim-dominated areas, he said.

Mr Dalwai said that with the implementation of the Sachar committee report, basic necessities will be provided to Muslim-dominated districts and talukas and weaker sections of the society, which are often neglected.
