Kohima, May 22 (UNI) AICC secretary Ranji Thomas has alleged the funds provided by the Centre were not properly used for development activities in Nagaland.

Talking to mediapersons here last night, Mr Thomas alleged that people were disappointed with the state government as huge amount of funds were provided by the Centre, but there was no visible improvement in the state.

"The roads all over the state are with potholes, there is no drinking water supply and the overall law and order situation has deteriorated. The district administration remain mute spectators, as they are not getting any instructions from the higher authorities to take action,'' he said.

Mr Thomas, on an eight-day visit, already visited ten out of eleven districts of the state.

He claimed that the party workers all over the state were ready to re-dedicate themselves for the party.

He said he was likely to visit Peren district today.

Senior Congress leader and Leader of Opposition I Imkong claimed the Congress party was ready for the next general Assembly elections in the state and would serve the people.
