Bukhari detained while trying to march to PMO
New Delhi, May 22 (UNI) Jama Masjid Shahi Imam Ahmad Bukhari was detained this afternoon while trying to lead a 'march' to the Prime Minister office to lodge his protest against 'not being heard' on the Hyderabad Mecca masjid blasts issue.
Imam was detained in Daryaganj minutes after he proceeded for the 'march', said sources.
He was prevented from leading the 'march' and asked to maintain peace, sources added.
A few days ago Imam Bukhari had written to the Prime Minister to give him an audience over the Mecca mosque blasts in Hyderabad on May 18 and had threatened to lead a 'rally' to the PMO if he was not heard.
