Tripura: BSF installed modern equipments
Agartala, May 22: To strengthen the surveillance along Indo-Bangladesh border, Border Security Force (BSF), Tripura Frontier, has installed some hi-tech equipment to upgrade the vigil along the border.
Inspector General of BSF, Tripura Frontier, J A Khan today said that they have set up modern apparatus like Battle field radar, night vision and thermal imagery to monitor cross border movement effectively.
''The equipment are helping the jawans to identify the infiltrators at the border point. The machines can detect arms movement in the border areas,'' Mr Khan said.
He stated that BSF has arrested 29 ultras from the bordering areas of the state after the establishment of the machines compared to last year's 26.
