Antique stolen in Bihar
Aurangabad, May 22 (UNI) At least four antique statues were stolen from an ancient temple at Karmabhagwan village under Mufassil police station in Aurangabad district last night.
Police said here today that the burglers broke open the door of the age old Thakurbari temple and decamped with four Ashtadhatu(an alloy of eight metals) statues of Lord Krishna, Radha-Krishna,Parvati and another Hindu god.The value of the antiques was estimated at Rs 25 lakhs, they added.
An FIR was registered in this connection in the local police station and the police had initiated action to recover the antiques.
