Alcatel-Lucent's software tops in IDC ranking

New Delhi, May 22: Communication service provider Alcatel-Lucent today announced its VitalQIP DNS/DHCP and IP address management software has been ranked number one in market share by the latest IDC study.

According to 2007 IDC Worldwide IP Address Management 2007-2011 Forecast and Analysis, IP address management is a key growth market which is likely to reach 425 million dollars by 2011.

''Our VitalQIP software addresses issues that are critical to the maintenance of a reliable network,'' said Mr Doug Charles, Alcatel-Lucent's Director of Vital products.

VitalQIP software helps enterprises configure, automate, integrate and administer IP services across a local or global network and allows IT managers to manage their networks.

The VitalQIP product has been deployed in over 800 companies worldwide.
