59 CPI(M) activists arrested
Machilipatnam, May 22 (UNI) As many as 59 Communist Party of India (Marxist) activists, including 39 women, were arrested by the police here today on charges of violating prohibitory orders.
As part of the state-wide "Bhooporatam" agitation, the CPI(M) activists entered the government land near railway station here.
The arrested activists, included CPI(M) Krishna district General Secretary V Umamaheswara Rao.
