MP: 5-yr-old girl lights father's pyre

Betul, MP, May 22: Casting tradition aside, a five-year-old girl lit her father's pyre at this district headquarters.

Lalit Kalbhor died at hospital on Sunday after suffering chest pain and, as he had no male offspring, relatives decided that the elder of two daughters would light the pyre.

Sona did so at the Moksh Dham even as those present were moved to tears.
