25 hurt as buses collide

Tirupati, May 22 (UNI) Twenty-five passengers were injured, five of them seriously, when two state-owned buses collided at Panapakam of Chittoor District, about 45 kms from here, this evening.

Police said, the mishap occurred when an APSRTC bus proceeding to Tirupati from Kuppam collided with KSRTC bus coming in the opposite direction from Tirupati to Bangalore at busy Chittoor-Bangalore Highway.

The injured were shifted to Government Ruia Hospital for treatment.
